This month we were able to host our seventh worksh This month we were able to host our seventh workshop of 2025!

What began as a plan to train 40 women quickly grew into 64 for this recent workshop! The overwhelming response shows just how strongly these women want to build their skills, strengthen their independence, and transform their futures. In this recent workshop, we combined efforts with an amazing local organization called Let’s End Fistula Initiative. It is the beginning of a beautiful collaboration.

Over the four day workshop, they learned about making a business plan, saving, budgeting, re-investing and how to take out a loan if needed. The curriculum is designed to teach practical business skills, to nurture confidence, resilience, emotional healing, and long-term decision-making.

We typically have been hosting 4 workshops per year with 40 women per workshop, with the goal of increasing to 6 workshops per year (240 women). Our team went the extra mile this year and have already hosted 7 workshops with sometimes up to 70 women in the workshop. We have successfully trained 360 women in our workshops this year- an impressive jump from previous years, thanks to your support!!

Your holiday donation directly fuels this momentum.
It keeps this training running, supports additional women throughout the year, and helps survivors of obstetric fistula build sustainable businesses that uplift entire communities.

This Giving Tuesday and holiday season, your gener This Giving Tuesday and holiday season, your generosity can go three times further.

Today is a great day to donate for the 2025 year!
Giving Tuesday is all about a global generosity movement to help support transform their communities such as the Beyond Fistula Community!

All donations made during December will be matched 3:1 (thanks to a few very generous donors!), directly supporting women healing from obstetric fistula through surgery, education, vocational training, and long-term empowerment.

Your gift produces a ripple effect- supporting a girl’s education, or helping a woman to start a business and earn money allows her to help her children, her family and can impact her community. Earning money helps a woman with her self-respect, her voice, and respect in the community.

We did it! On October 10th- 16 of our 17 women r We did it!

On October 10th- 16 of our 17 women reached the summit of Mount Kili!
It took 7 difficult days with many ups and downs.
Mostly, we were focused on our purpose- raising funds and raising awareness.

This climb was about creating lasting change for our women at Beyond Fistula and Chameleon Buddies in Kenya.

total miles: 47.3 miles
total elevation gain: 13,436 ft.

After the climb, most of the crew came to Kenya to tour the hospital, the Beyond Fistula program and to help facilitate a Chameleon Buddies workshop with women who are living with stomas. It was an incredibly emotional week.
Thanks for all of your support!!!

This past week over 75 women came to beyond fistul This past week over 75 women came to beyond fistula for a business and baking 4 day workshop with @lajawabtreats. They learned everything from how to turn a plan into a business to budgeting and loans and were interviewed to learn what supplies are needed to begin!! The program concluded with a graduation and diploma ceremony to show how proud and celebrate their accomplishments. This is often the only diplomas the women have received and they proudly get to leave with new found skills and support in their futures.
